Student Research
Simpson University is an open and welcoming environment for research. The faculty at Simpson University are actively engaged in research and invested in involving undergraduate students in the research process.
Student Research Symposium

The Student Research Symposium is a day-long event that occurs annually in the late Spring in which students from Simpson University’s undergraduate, Adult Studies, and graduate programs present talks, posters, panel discussions, or creative performances on a wide variety of topics. The public is invited to attend the presentations and the keynote address.
Join us in celebrating our wonderful students!
The symposium began in 2011 as a faculty initiative to give Simpson students an opportunity to share their research outside the classroom. The symposium was opened to regional high school students in 2018. Divided into morning and afternoon sessions, with a mid-morning keynote address, the symposium is modeled after professional academic conferences. The event concludes with a celebratory award’s banquet.

Support Students in Their Research
The Clark Endowment for Student Research
The purpose of this fund is to provide resource assistance to encourage students to present their scholarly research through an individual talk, poster, or panel discussion on a selected theme at the annual Simpson Symposium for Student Research. Students from the traditional undergraduate program, the adult degree-completion program (ASPIRE), and graduate programs are able to participate in the symposium.
